Education

As the state’s premier agricultural museum and a proud part of the Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College family, educational opportunities for learners of all ages are a top priority at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture. We’ve tailored our programs to grow visitors understanding of Georgia’s rural and agricultural history while placing emphasis on our state’s growth and future.

Virtual Programs

The Museum comes alive on screen with discussion, demonstrations, and exciting visuals through our virtual presentations led by GMA staff. Lessons are delivered virtually using Google Meets. Virtual Programs include access to digital resources such as activities and worksheets for your selected program(s). All Virtual Programs address various Georgia Standards of Excellence based on program selected.

Historic Field Trips

Students of all ages look forward to our interactive field trips at the GMA. We love working with visiting groups to create the best possible learning experience for your class and engage students with an experience they will never forget.

Destination Ag

Learning stations and exhibits connect guests to where their food, fiber, and shelter come from – agriculture! Destination Ag provides an interactive, educational experience for children and all guests focused on modern agriculture and natural resources.

Camp Wiregrass

Each summer, Camp Wiregrass offers week-long sessions to learn more about agriculture, history, and natural resources through exciting activities and engaging experiences. Camp begins after Memorial Day and runs through the end of June.

Public Programs

Learning is an ongoing pursuit, so activities at ABAC’s Georgia Museum of Agriculture are not limited to school groups. Programs are offered for toddlers to senior adults and every age in between!

Outreach

Let us bring the learning to you! We’re excited to provide off site programming for classrooms, after-school programs, summer camps, assisted living facilities, and more. View outreach programs available from the Historic Village or Destination Ag below.
