Historic Village

A visit to our Historic Village is a true step into the past. Our realistic representation of 19th century businesses, workshops, and homes gives visitors a genuine feel for what life was like over the past 150 years of Southern culture.

Museum Main Hall

The Museum’s Main Hall contains dozens of exhibits describing the history of Georgia’s agricultural commodities, unique cultural pieces, and pays respect to the historic inventors and luminaries from eras past and present.

Vulcan Steam Train

Built in 1917, this functional steam engine was purchased by the Hardaway Contracting Company of Columbus, GA in 1923. Visitors can enjoy this full display of steam and transportation technology firsthand every Saturday the Museum is open.

Country Store

The Country Store is chock-full of uniquely Southern gifts and items, many of locally grown and hand crafted. Stop by and explore our collection of local preserves, American-made toys, and Georgia Grown produce. The Country Store is sure to have the perfect unique gift or treasure to suit you.

Langdale Nature Center

Featuring an outstanding variety of ways to interact with the local flora and fauna of the region, the Langdale Nature Center offers an immersive and unique opportunity for hands-on learning. Our collection of live tanks and natural curiosities showcase the diversity of South Georgia’s nature and wildlife.

Learning stations and exhibits connect guests to where their food, fiber, and shelter come from - agriculture! Destination Ag provides an interactive, educational experience for children and all guests focused on modern agriculture and natural resources.
