The Museum Gallery opened in November of 2010 with a commitment to showcase the work of traditional and rural Georgia artists, and significant Georgia collections. Since 2010 the Gallery has hosted over 40 new exhibits, each one uniquely curated to provide space for reflection and a personal experience.  We strive to spotlight individual artists or groups of artists who not only create art, but are actively involved in passing their skills to the next generation. The Gallery has also served as a springboard for emerging local and regional artists and collections. Gallery lectures and demonstrations are often a part of the exhibit openings. Additionally, the Gallery works with a list of regional partners to present each exhibit to the community and to showcase the work of local farmers, musicians, and artisans during the opening receptions for each exhibit. Artists wishing to apply for exhibit consideration can email for an application.

The Museum Gallery received a Best Exhibit Under $10,000 award from the Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries in 2012,  Best Exhibit and Best Gallery Event in January 2015,  Special Project Under $100,000 and Special Project Award in January 2016, Best Special Project and Top Museum and Gallery Institution awards in 2017, and the award for a Best Exhibit on a Small Budget in 2018.

Located under the Peanut Museum Pole Barn behind the Country Store, the Market is open every Saturday from April through November from 9 am to noon, with a summer break during the entire month of August. Free educational programming for children and adults is offered weekly, and there is a demonstration area featuring a garden and animal pens. The Market is free and open to the public, no Museum admission is required. The Wiregrass Farmers Market is managed by a group of local volunteers passionate about creating a healthier community.
