Get Involved

With events and happenings year-round, there’s no shortage of ways to get involved at the Georgia Museum of Agriculture. Whether you’re looking for volunteer opportunities or simply love spending time at our exhibits, our doors are open for you!

The generosity and patronage of museum members and supporters is essential to our success and future. We couldn’t do it without you! By becoming a Friend of the GMA, you become a partner with us in educating and promoting Georgia’s rich connections to the past, present and future of agriculture.

Annual Pass

Visit all year long and reap the rewards of the annual pass! This pass includes unlimited day time admission, 15% off at the CountryStore, free rides on the Vulcan Steam Train, and fishing privileges at Agrirama Lake. This is an ideal option for Tifton locals or frequent visitors!

We couldn’t do what we do without our wonderful volunteers. Over 100 supportive friends of the museum volunteer thousands of hours every year as costumed interpreters, greeters, fundraising ambassadors, office assistants, skilled craftspeople, folk artists, and more. Hoping to volunteer your time with us? Get in touch and apply today!

Youth Apprentice Program

This volunteer program is open to young adults between the ages of 14 and 18. The program is designed to offer youth an opportunity to learn about the past, gain hands-on experience for the professional work environment, and prepare them to take an active role in volunteering. Along the way apprentices make new friends, discover new skills, and have countless fun memories. We aim to make great young people even better through the GMA’s unique and enriching cultural environment.

To be selected as a youth volunteer, applicants must submit an application (including a participant and parent section) and participate in a short interview.

Check back in spring 2021 for details on Information Sessions to learn more about the program.

Through a tax deductible donation you can support our efforts to continue preserving the rich, rural heritage of South Georgia and educating future generations!
